Gordon S. Cruickshank
Gordon S. Cruickshank, President of our organization since its founding in December 1996, brings decades of expertise in environmental due diligence and compliance. Under his leadership, we have built a dynamic team of professionals to assist with field surveys, Phase II investigations, and comprehensive reporting. Gordon has a distinguished track record of guiding environmental initiatives in both the private and public sectors, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable practices and regulatory excellence.
Gordon’s industry influence is far-reaching. He has served as Chairman of Environmental Committees for both the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Suburban Maryland Building Industry Association (SMBIA), shaping policies that align development with environmental stewardship. His technical acumen includes developing closure plans for U.S. Air Force and Army bases and crafting hazardous material management protocols for the U.S. Coast Guard. Additionally, Gordon has trained specialized teams in hazardous material detection and environmental compliance and spearheaded the creation of an environmental department within a large corporation to oversee critical projects such as underground storage tank closures. A contributor to nationally recognized ASTM standards, Gordon continues to lead with innovation, integrity, and a passion for advancing environmental accountability.
Mr. Cruickshank holds the following certifications and licenses:
Registered Professional Geologist (PG), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Master Level, Through the Institute of Hazardous Material Management, Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA) through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals, Member of the Professional Industrial Hygienists, Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia for Materials Surveys.
