PES is owned and operated by Ruth Victorica Cruickshank, CEO, and Gordon S. Cruickshank, President. The company was founded in December 1996. PES also employs, as needed, professionals to assist with field surveys, Phase II investigations, and in the processing of our reports. PES has a unique understanding of the clients needs for environmental due diligence having corporate experience in both environmental science and commercial real estate. Additionally we assist residential real estate owners and managers with building material surveys and testing. We can communicate with our clients in English and Spanish are able to quickly solve problems and get reports to our clients quickly given our management system.

The Cruickshanks have diverse experience that has involved property assessment and auditing, hazardous material management, site characterization, remediation oversight, health and safety consultation, regulatory review, indoor air quality, and military base closure assessments. Gordon Cruickshank has authored numerous short articles on environmental due diligence, served as the Environmental Committee Chairman for two real estate development industry associations.

Ruth Cruickshank has applied her experience in communications and education to help residential real estate owners understand household hazards and understand and prioritize concerns. Mr. Cruickshank is a Registered Professional Geologist (PG), a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Master Level, through the Institute of Hazardous Material Management, a Registered Environmental Property Assessor (REPA) through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals, Member of the Professional Industrial Hygienists, and licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia for materials surveys.
